One of the objectives of preselling is to increase trust that your readers have in what you say about the product. What you can also do is actively search for these experts, and then just negotiate a trade for a link to their site. Maybe this will work, but we do not know if you can find anyone so be sure to make an honest effort into it.
We mentioned something about a review in another part of this article; however, the review method is definitely a form of preselling, but as you should know the format is totally different. But with a review it becomes even more important for you to have actually used the product, read it or whatever. People expect glowing reviews that are not critical of the product because they know what is going on, but offering sincere information that is negative but truthful will be appreciated. You can write in a totally unbiased tone and one that is neutral, but there is nothing wrong with putting your personality into it, and in fact you should do that. So you write your presell and provide a link to the sales copy, and that is all you can and should do. You should have a healthy conversion rate if all else is in place and your traffic is the right audience.
Do be very careful about your choice of words, and we are talking directly about avoiding the use of hype in your copy – bad marketer. Some markets are more cynical than others, and for example the IM market is horribly tainted, jaded and cynical – and they will rip your preselling if they get a hint of selling. After you finish your copy, put it aside for a day or so and return to it for another read, and we guarantee you will want to make changes to it.
